Folk is a chance for us to get to know each other though small shared stories that are common among us. Thank you Katie and Bubby for sharing.

This is Jackie Houserman.
We call her Bubby! She’s 94 years old.
She worked until she was 93 at Stitch Art Custom Embroidery in Conneaut Lake. Heck, if they called her back tomorrow, she’d be there.
She used to own the Jacqueline Shop, a clothing boutique in Conneaut Lake. Her husband, Blaine was a musician and was in a band called “The Dixie Doodlers." He played the trumpet.
She hates everything she cooks, drinks a lot of coffee and eats several bowls of cottage cheese a day.
She has several nicknames like “Shark Lips” and “Vicious Bubblicious” and her iconic catch phrase is “hang loose!"
If you have a great photo of someone special like this one of Bubby and can supply a brief write up about what makes them specia, please share with us at 8and322@gmail.com. Write ups can be one or two sentences or up to 250 words. We'd love to showcase more about our neighbors here in this blog called "Folk."
