One of her friends, obvious by the many photographs she makes of the subject, is water.
I love this self portrait of Jodi out in the bow of boat on the water.
One of my early favorite artist photographers (as opposed to photojournalists) was Arno Minkkenen, whose self portraits often depicted just feet and hands and oftentimes water.
As I explained last week, the former mayor of Franklin and very special person to a couple youngsters who call her Mammie, loves to be outside and explore the natural world around her.
A split second here or there to make a photograph allows her the several minutes of enjoyment of the scenes she captures.
And now the photographs allow us to share those moments with her as we enjoy her beautiful eye.
Below are two of Jodi's pieces. You can follow her on Instagram and she posts a lot on Facebook as well. She says she does some editing within the phone, but doesn't use any special camera apps.
More next week.
In this weekly feature I will showcase the work of an artist I find interesting for an entire month. Each Friday I will post a few of the artist's pieces and add little touches about who they are and why they love to make work.
