Sierra Shoup, 15, a student at Cochranton High School who loves art paints the Brian Sprague sculpture that was carved years ago on Route 322. Shoup said friends of the family hired her to spruce up the eagle in front of their property and give it some color.

    ​Eight & 322

    Losing his job after 23 years, Richard Sayer decided to tell stories on his own. Using the crossroads as a metaphor for life and the physical location, he is now telling regional stories stemming outward from where Routes 322 and 8 cross in Franklin, PA. "I am looking for stories to tell and hope to find my inner Charles Kuralt." Eight and 322 is also beginning to expand with other contributors and the development of a print product that will hopefully launch this fall.
